1. Painting Collection was edited by its particular editing committee headed by chief editor Mo Yidian. This periodical has two volume in total, and Vol. 1 was published in March 1989.
2. Painting Collection, Vol.1, publishes more than 170 artworks by over 20 artists. All works were provided by renowned collecting organizations, scholars, artists, and collectors. The authenticity of the works have been confirmed by the artists themselves, including Lin Fengmian, Lu Yanshao, Tang Yun, etc.
3. Mo Yidian was born in Xinhui, Guangdong Province in 1947. He is chief editor of Painting Collection, a famous painter and art critic. In 1964 he studied painting after Ding Yanyong. Mo has a vast collection of important works by artists such as Lin Fengmian, Ren Bonian, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Pan Tianshou, Huang Binhong, Guan Liang, Wu Guanzhong, and so on.
